I keep losing them to other agents because I don't feel qualified enough...
For Agents Information Only
I received an email over the weekend from one of you here's how part of it reads:
"I have several real LTC prospects, and they keep coming and going. I keep losing them to other agents because I don't feel qualified enough to discuss these plans. What I need is a basic training to learn the ropes. How do you suggest I go about doing this? I am willing to schedule a time to come to Spring Valley if that will do the trick. Please let me know."
Unfortunately "loosing them" equates to about $1,800 in commissions per policy! Yep, that's about the average LTC commission that we see in our agency. That's a hard enough hit for just one case but when it's happening on a regular basis it really hurts! That's not even talking about the larger cases!
This is not an unusual email - we get them all the time.
What I liked about this agent's email is that he wasn't just complaining - he wants to do something about it - he is willing to come up to our office for training.
Well that's exactly what we're going to do.
We have the use of our Bank's conference room for small meetings so we are going to offer you an LTC basic training class. Space is limited to about 20 people so if you're interested let us know. We will reserve spots on a first come - first serve basis.
If you have an interest please email us. We will schedule it shortly once we get an idea of how many of you are interested.
