Use these special time periods to substantially boost your Med-Supp sales:

Dec. 8, 2011 to Feb. 29, 2012: Medicare Advantage members who were involuntarily dropped from their Medicare Advantage plans for 2012 have the opportunity to choose another Medicare Advantage plan during this Special Enrollment Period or switch to Original Medicare and choose a Medicare Supplement.


Jan. 1 to Feb. 14, 2012: Medicare Advantage members may drop their Medicare Advantage plan during the Medicare Advantage Annual Disenrollment Period, switch to Original Medicare, and purchase a Medicare Supplement. However, they may not purchase another Medicare Advantage plan. Their only option is to return to Original Medicare and purchase a Medicare .........

The Medicare Advantage Annual Election Period comes to a close this week, but Medicare Supplement sales continue fast and furious. In fact between Nov. 1 and today I really can't ever remember seeing as much MedSupp business come through our doors.  

Thank you for that!

After all, there is no ‘season’ on Medicare Supplements.  You can sell them year round. 

This is also the time to gear up for the Medicare Advantage Annual Disenrollment Period (MADP) that runs from Jan. 1 to Feb. 14, 2012. 

During this time period, Medicare Advantage members may voluntarily withdraw from their Medicare Advantage plan, but they cannot enroll in another Medicare Advantage plan.

As of 11/2011 we are now able to fax in completed Medicare Supplement applications/forms under the following conditions:

1) Payment mode must be check-o-matic.  (Direct-Bill modes must still be mailed in with checks).

2) If you are looking for an immediate (within a week of faxing in the application) effective date then we need a note from applicant authorizing the company to draft 2 months up-front.

3) If the account is a business account then:  A) The applicant must be an owner of the business B) Submit The Company Bank Draft Validation Form also.

My dad and I would like to wish you a very happy Thanksgiving.
 
We'll be heading out to the Poconos to my brother Ed's campground for the festivities.  Since that park is now closed we'll be able to break out the mini-bikes, ATV's and his very special souped-up golf cart.  The kids (of all ages) usually get a campfire going and take turns blasting around the campground's gravel roads  while occasionally  making an illegal U-Turn in the woods.
