Graduations..
For Agents Information Only

I remember it like it was yesterday.  The nurse from Good Samaritan Hospital in Suffern, NY gently handed her to me.  You could hear a pin drop in the room.  I can still feel the texture of the terry cloth hospital shirt and the soft warmth radiating through to my hands and the big smile it put on my face.  I can still feel how I fell in love with her in a split second.  I can remember the tears of joy on my wife's face and the happiness everyone in our family felt.  That was almost 18 years ago when my first daughter, Nikki, was born.

The years flew by and now this Saturday she is graduating from Valley Central High School.  WOW.  I called her after her last day of school to see how it went......she said it was a little sad.  She's going to miss it.

We are extra proud of her because she will be signing the Star Spangled Banner (she took ASL--American Sign Language in school) at the graduation ceremony.  She's practicing all week to get it right.  Nikki wants to become a teacher of ASL and work with hearing impaired kids.  She actually has a high frequency hearing loss herself which is why she has it in her heart to work with others who have a similar handicap.

And then we have a second graduation this Friday..............my little guy, Anthony, will be graduating from his preschool class.  I guess it won't be long till we see him in his cap and gown, graduating from High School too.

This all reminds me of a saying I once heard.  "Life is what happens while you're busy making other plans."  Remember to enjoy the moment.
